An Introduction to Beta Century (UK) Ltd

Beta Century (UK) Ltd is a joint venture company which markets the Beta Century range of inverter welding machines throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland

The two principals of the company Richard Myers and David Coaster each have over 35 years experience in the welding industry. Richard worked for the family company Frank Myers (Welding Supplies) Ltd. from 1968 until 1998, during which time he spent several years as a national officer of the AWD.

David worked many years for NEI Nuclear Systems Ltd involved with welding engineering development and sales, and is currently the principal of Advanced Welding Systems Ltd, a Huntingdon based company involved with sales and distribution of automated welding equipment.

Both Richard and David recognise the potential for a range of equipment which is very competitively priced, as a result of being manufactured in China, but with the reassurance offered by European design and traceable CE inspection, backed by a 2 year warranty.

Beta Century is a collaboration between a group of well established welding suppliers based in Europe and the Middle East. After a long search for a suitable source it was decided that the only way to achieve their objective was to design a range of equipment for the European market and collaborate with one of China’s leading manufacturers to produce products from a quality controlled factory, where high volume manufacturing produce low unit costs. After selling several thousand of these machines in initial markets, with exceptional operational and reliability results, we now feel confident enough to expand our sales throughout Europe offering a 2 year warranty throughout the entire range.

The whole of the Beta Century range is inverter based, mostly utilising IGBT technology, with products for MMA (Stick Electrode), MIG, TIG and Plasma Cutting. All machines have an excellent duty cycle, with specifications relating to a 10 minute cycle @ 40o C. We believe the products also feature compact and attractive design whilst retaining high level of ruggedness.

Beta Century (UK) Ltd will be a new name to many of you, yet represents a collaboration backed by 70 years experience in the welding industry. It is our aim to provide high quality equipment at very competitive prices, which has been independently certified as to conforming to current CE standards.
